Great experience with my stump grinder purchase, well communicated through the entire process.
Awesome machine started first pull out of box works better than ones I’ve rented in the past
Very well built! I used it on a few stumps that have been in the yard a few years. I took just a few minutes to remove each one to a bit below ground level so I could move over them. I had been cutting down trees on my property for several years now. Last I counted there were 68 of them ranging form 6" to 24" in diameter. Its of good value and built well. It took a bit to find the brakes for assemble..Look in the bag with the safety stuff.
Would be 5 stars if Power King had decent assembly instructions. Very weak, so be prepared to figure some things out. Still under an hour to complete assembly.
Ground 4 stumps 8 to 12 inch diameter and 15 Lilac bush stumps (2-4 inch) in about 1 hour and it was my first time running a stump grinder. Tons of power, easy start Kohler motor and the teeth just eat right through the stumps. Did a 24 inch the next day in 30 minutes.
Definitely want to bring along a chain saw to cut the stumps short. Anything over 6-8 inches above ground it going to be too tall to grind safely (for you and the motor).
If you are not used to running big tillers, chainsaws, etc., this would not be the first tool to buy. It is a beast. It is properly balanced and the brake makes it "easy" to use, but after an hour of grinding, your body will remember it.
Also, you cannot see the grinding tool in front when you are grinding, so you have to visualize where it is. And get used to where you are limited by the safety guards and belt cover. They tend to block movement sometimes.
Recommend for sure.
5 stars is hard to give, it would need self propel and interchangeable teeth. You are stuck with the teeth you get. I asked about other teeth eg greenteeth but its not recommended. There are no directions for set up, only engine. If you are not mechanically inclined, find someone. Also if you are not physically strong? Stay away.
The grinder works well as you can see on videos on you tube. I would ONLY BUY FROM Wood Splitters, they have the Best CS, and Power King Follows through on their side with missing or damaged parts. Overall for a new machine at this price point there is no better.

I'm really happy with this stump grinder. Easy to operate and very simple to start. Was worth the extra money for the electric starter.
This grinder was a really great deal. There are some things missing from it which is why I gave it 4 stars. I bought this before PowerKing made the conversion available for Greenteeth. The PowerKing teeth just aren't that great. Wish I had the option, like you do on new units, to use the Greenteeth.
It would be great if this was a bit easier to handle as well, but maybe that's just me. Overall though, it does what I bought it to do and even with the PowerKing teeth, it works well. The best part about this unit was that it came with the extra set of teeth, the towbar and the cover. Most other stump grinders didn't include this stuff. Really a great value.
